Sharon and Jerry

 

  Sharon and Jerry married at the beautiful and picturesque Trout Brook Vineyard. It's hard to believe this wedding didn't take place in Napa Valley! Stargazer lilies held special significance to Sharon, so we implimented them in nearly every piece for her wedding day. Together with the gorgeous bicolor coral and orange roses it created a colorful yet easy and natural look. I'm so happy for the bride and groom! It was a beautiful day.

Jess and Bruce

 Words cannot say how much I enjoyed working with the bride, Jess on her Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. Jess brought me a large number of inspiration photos for the bouquets, in each picture was a little detail that had caught her eye. We fused all of those little details together to create a truly unique and custom wedding bouquets! The entire event was stunning, the ceremony location at the beautiful "fairy tale" gardens at Trellis Wedding and Events and the reception location at the architecturally stunning 413 on Wacouta. I'm going to miss going over details with Jess! I'm so excited for Jess and Bruce (and their loveable rottweiler, Monroe) as they start the next chapter in their lives!

The bride's very customized bouquet consisted of white roses, white spray roses and a large silk focal flower with pearl and filigree. The lace flower was created using a piece of Jess's dress leftover from alterations and filigree and pearl accents. Loops of white double satin ribbon framed the bouquet with long ribbon tails cascading down. The ends of the stems were adorned with pearls to match the accents of pearls throughout the bouquet. The final touch was winding a swallow necklace around the handle, in memory of a beloved best friend of the bride.

The bridesmaids each carried a brightly colored bouquet of orange gerbera daisies, hot pink rose sprays, hot pink "beauty" asters, deep purple miniature carnations, blue mountain thistle and green hypericum berries with a unique mix of foliage and black and white striped bows. The bouquets were wrapped with black and white striped ribbon and pearl pins held everything in place.

Amanda and Joe

 Amanda had a VERY clear color vision for her wedding. She loved the idea of having kelly green as the strongest represented color and a bright rainbow of color surrounding that. Amanda also had a strong love for the modern and clean looking chrysanthemum. Implementing her ideas, we designed her bridal bouquet in all white chrysanthemums, her miniature brides in kelly green chrysanthemums and her bridesmaids each had a different monochromatic bouquet in orange, yellow, blue, purple and pink with the groom, groomsmen and ushers all matching the girls! It was a very colorful wedding and an absolutely beautiful day at Rothschild Pavilion in Rothschild, WI. I wish Amanda and Joe the very best in their new marriage!

"Forever, For Always, And No Matter What"

The beautiful bride carried an all white handtied bouquet of football mums, spider mums and button mums. The bouquet was bound in kelly green ribbon. The groom's boutonierre matched his bride's bouquet!

The groom, groomsmen and ushers looked great in the grey suits with different colored boutonnieres to match the ladies!

Megan and Jeff

  When Megan first contacted me we were only planning on me designing some beautiful and budget-friendly boutonnieres for the guys. She had intended on picking up her own bouquet from the pre-wrapped bunches at the grocery store. We were discussing which direction to go with the boutonnieres and then she sent me an inspiration board for the wedding theme and colors. I noticed a single bouquet she had on that board, and knew that she was dreaming bigger than what the pre-wrapped bunches could offer! We looked at her Pinterest board, incorporated the essential purple gerbera daisy to match with the bridesmaid's bouquets, did a little number crunching and oila! Megan's dream bouquet! And we didn't have to break the bank! Getting to know Megan has been a joy, and I'm so excited for her and Jeff to share many happy years to come!

The bridal bouquet was designed with purple gerbera daisies, blue bom dendrobium orchids, purple lisianthus, and purple stock all wrapped together with a deep purple double wedding satin ribbon.

The flower girl had a special job, to also be the ring bearer! She carried a bouquet with a special silver rose that opened to reveal the couple's wedding rings.

One thing I loved about Megan is that she's a geek just like me! The evidence is everywhere in the wedding, shown here are her fabulous Mario pumps placed on the head table next to her bouquet.

"Offbeat" Wedding Flowers

So let's say roses and lilies aren't your thing. The idea of carrying a "cookie cutter" bridal bouquet TERRIFIES you! (I'm being a tad dramatic) What else is out there? Don't worry, I've got you covered! Here's a small sample of offbeat flowers that are seldom seen in the traditional bridal bouquets.

Sea Star Asters
 A little different from the more popular Matsumoto Aster, the sea star aster looks like a fusion of spider mum and aster. Other than the hot pink shown in the picture, they are also available in a lighter pink, white, indigo and purple.

Serruria
Also known as "Blushing Bride" (how appropriate). Available May through September, these flowers range in color from a brighter pink to a soft white/cream with a pink center. They tend to have a papery feel and are hardy and long lasting - perfect for a bridal bouquet.

Ranunculus
 Not just any ranunculus, these ranunculus petals are foliose (converted into leaf-like structures) which make for a very unique and different look. These would be beautiful together with other ranunculus in varying shades or a vibrant mix of many different flowers.

Mimosa
 Not related to the drink, this "filler" flower (also known as "acacia") represents purity and endurance of the soul. Cute, puffy yellow blooms add an interesting texture to a bouquet.
